Fan Was a Twenty-Three-Year-Old Woman

Fan Man-yee was a twenty-three-year-old nightclub hostess from Hong Kong, China.

She was abandoned by her parents at birth.

So she grew up in orphanages. She was kicked out of the orphanage at the age of fifteen.

They deemed her old enough to fend for herself.

Then she started doing sex work on the streets. And she heavily used drugs to cope with the harsh realities on the streets.

Fan eventually married one of her clients.
