The tragic case of Robin Doan
It was in the early morning hours.
And the Sheriff’s office received a disturbing call.
Operator: Sheriff’s Office, 911?
Robin: Ma’am? There was a shootout at my house…I don’t know who’s alive in my house. And I’m scared…Please, can you send somebody out here? I’m scared!
Operator: Yes, somebody’s coming honey. Somebody’s coming.
Robin Lived in Pampa, Texas
Robin Doan lived in the quiet town of Pampa, Texas, USA, with her mother, stepfather, and older brother.
It was September 29th, 2005, in the quiet town. And ten-year-old Robin got ready for school.
Her stepfather, Brian Conrad, had made pancakes for breakfast that morning, and it was Robin’s favorite.
Robin was also excited to be a big sister.
Her mother, Michell, was five months pregnant.
Later that day, Robin’s mom started trying on maternity clothes, including a pair of horrible stretchy maternity pants, as Robin put it.
Then on the morning of September 30th, the Sheriff’s Office received a disturbing phone call from Robin.
The police immediately rushed to the scene while Robin remained on the line. As soon as the first police car arrived, Robin ran straight to the police officers, and the officer hugged her.
Then the police officer placed Robin in his car before joining his other colleagues in the house.
The authorities noticed that the east door of the residence had been kicked in. But, surprisingly, everything was in place inside the house.
Coffee was scheduled for the next morning.
Nothing was stolen. Nothing was misplaced.
