Dorothy fell down the stairs.

The impact was brutal, and she was not responsive. So her parents called in a doctor. It was the 1900s.

The doctor confirmed Dorothy's death. He would return in an hour with a nurse to wash the body and do proper documentation on the death of the three-year-old.

Upon his return, he went upstairs where they’d laid Dorothy’s body. But the three-year-old girl was playing and jumping on her bed.

That was a total surprise to the doctor.

In 1907, medical literature didn’t acknowledge yet what had happened. Dorothy had had a near-death experience.

The Doctor Was Positive Dorothy Was Dead
