It was New Year’s Day.
The police received a disheartening call about a little girl. The girl was unresponsive.
The little girl had been burned so badly that her big toe fell off. Her melted skin was soon found in the bathtub drain.

Gabrielle “Gabby” Barrett was a four-year-old from Michigan, USA.
Gabby was a cheerful and bright little angel who loved the movie Frozen.
Gabby’s mother, Candice Diaz, had a horrible childhood. Candice’s father was incarcerated. Her mother abandoned her with her alcoholic grandmother.
A house fire broke out at Candice’s grandmother’s. Candice sustained severe burns. She had to undergo many surgeries as a result.
Candice’s mother and grandmother were arrested.
