A few days later, Nikolai was found lying face down. He was fully clothed and had only one injury; a massive hole on the back of his head.
Nikolai had been struck so hard that part of his skull was missing.
Nikolai Was Sixty-Three
Nikolai Zakharchenko was a sixty-three-year-old retired police officer from Moscow, Russia.
He loved going on walks, especially inside Bitsa Park, one of Moscow's largest and most beautiful parks.
It was a November evening in 2005 when Nikolai left home for his usual walk in Bitsa Park. But Nikolai never returned home.
He was found struck dead a few days later.
