Payton stumbled through the woods towards the main road. She was covered in blood.
Then a bicycle cyclist saw her.
He called 911.
Dispatcher: 911… What’s the address of your emergency?
Dispatcher #2: I’m transferring a caller… He came upon a 12 year old female who appears to be stabbed.
Dispatcher: Hi sir, so are you with this 12 year old female?
Caller: Yeah. She says she’s having trouble breathing. She says she was stabbed multiple times.
Dispatcher: Is there any bleeding going on?
Caller: Her clothing has got blood on it.
Dispatcher: How did you see her?
Caller: She was right in the middle of the little path I take.
