It was a warm, beautiful sunny day.

And Jaycee walked up the hill to catch her school bus. Terry and Carl watched their daughter from a distance.

A car suddenly pulled up next to Jaycee.

Then Jaycee disappeared.

Jaycee’s father, overwhelmed with shock and confusion, hurried to call 911.

Carl: 911?

Dispatcher: This is 911.

Carl: On Pineyard Blvd, my daughter was just kidnapped top of the hill with a gray ford. A man and woman in the car.

“There was a car that came down the hill, circled in front of our house, and went back up the hill. And when it got to Jaycee, the car cut off her path, the driver jumped out, grabbed Jaycee.” — Terry

Jaycee Was an Eleven-Year-Old Girl

Jaycee Lee Dugard was a sweet and innocent eleven-year-old girl. She was shy, timid, and a people pleaser.
