The Parents Opened Up Their Home for Their Adoptive Son and Daughter, Then the Mother Was Murdered
The Sutton tragedy
It was late in the night when a man dressed in all black broke into the Sutton residence. The gunman headed straight for John Sutton’s bedroom.
The next thing, loud bangs.
Then the gunman went into Susan Sutton’s bedroom. He fired mercilessly until Susan lay lifeless in her bed.
Susan was shot a total of six times.
But, the intruder wasn’t done yet. He made his way to John’s bedroom again. And he emptied his gun on him.
Although John was massively wounded with shots in his head, he managed to reach for the phone. And he called for help.

John and Susan welcomed their first adoptive baby boy, Christopher, two days after his birth.
Susan couldn’t hide her excitement from her family and friends.
And, seven years later, the couple adopted their daughter, Melissa.
