The angering case of Bobby Franks
The mother couldn’t keep it together.
A man had just called to say he’d kidnapped her son. The caller asked for a ransom and swore to kill her son if word got to the police.
It was puzzling because they lived in a very affluent neighborhood with assured security.
So she informed her husband, who was a wealthy business mogul, to take care of it.
Unfortunately, her son Bobby was discovered dead in the woods.
Bobby Frank
Bobby Frank was a fourteen-year-old born into a rich family.
His father, Jacob Franks, was a wealthy Chicago watch manufacturer. And at the age of fifty, he married a much younger woman, Flora Franks. The couple had three children.
Robert ‘Bobby’ Franks was born on September 19th, 1909. And he was the last born.
Bobby was a very bright child. He was a student at Harvard School for Boys.
His teachers would often choose him to lead debate teams. And he was a good tennis player too. Nonetheless, he sometimes caused boys trouble.
