It was five months since Anna had told John that she was pregnant.
John wasn’t happy at all.
He visited a local sporting store in the Mornington area. And, seemingly out of the blue, he purchased a high-powered speargun.
John practiced in his backyard and familiarized himself with the gun.
A few days later, John laid wide awake as Anna fell asleep.
Then he jumped out of bed, headed to the garage, and retrieved his spear gun.
He returned to their bedroom, spear gun in hand, and aimed a spear at his sleeping wife’s head. Then he fired.

Anna Marie Kemp decided to move from her home in New Zealand to Melbourne, Australia.
She got a job as a bank teller at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
That’s where she met John Sharpe.
